How You Can Help


There is no end to human suffering. The number of people turning to the Society continues to grow. Every change in the economy, price and rate increase increases the number of people who have difficulty meeting the cost of food and housing. The high cost of medicine forces many to have to choose between food or proper medication. Modern life and family problems force many into isolation. The list of human suffering goes on.

The Society exists to respond to those in need in a person-to person manner. We help people regardless of race, creed, national origin or age. We strive to see the face of Christ in everyone we serve. You can help us in this mission of charity. Your financial support will enable us to have the resources to meet the basic needs of those who desperately need help. If you would like to make a donation, please contact us.

 Acceptable & Unacceptable Donations


Items We Gladly Accept
 . Art
 . Books (except for textbooks, encyclopedia's or magazines)
 . CDs, records, cassettes, and videos
 . Clothing (clean, no rips or tears) including shoes, belts, jewelry, & purses
 . Household Items including kitchenware, decoration items, and etc.
 . Linens
 . Sporting Goods, excluding exercise equipment
 . Toys
 . Working small electronics and small household appliances (no TV's or Microwaves)
 . Lamps and light fixtures, excluding fluorescents and halogens.
 . Lawnmowers (working and drained of all fluids)
 . BBQ Grills (no propane tanks on gas grills)

Furniture
"No rips, tears, stains, cat scratches, excessive pet hair, broken pieces, missing parts, or so worn through the stuffing is coming out"

We do accept beds as long as they are a Queen size or smaller, inner spring mattresses without buttons. We do not accept King beds, Waterbeds, or any mattress that does not have springs. We accept all kinds of metal bed frames and wood slat frames. We do not accept captain bed frames or platform bed frames.

Baby Items
Cribs must meet current Safety Regulations. (No more then 2 3/8 inches between bars. A good test is using a soda can. If the can passes through the bars it is not safe) We do not take play pins due to safety regulations. No baby gates. We do take highchairs, changing tables, and misc. play toys

Miscellaneous Items We Do Not Accept
Shower doors, metal desks, fireplace inserts, furnaces, hot water tanks, lumber, sinks, toilets, bath tubs, single pane windows, tires, car batteries, car parts, anything marked "poison" or "hazardous material", paint, copy machines, ping-pong tables, pool tables, any kind of exercise equipment, swing sets, carpets, textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, doors, air conditioners, baseboard or gas heaters, hospital beds, bathroom chairs or shower chairs due to sanitary reasons, or anything needing repair or reupholstering. As of 8/04 we are no longer accepting large household appliances.
