Inspired by the example of St. Vincent de Paul, our patron, and Blessed Frederic Ozanam, our founder, last year the more than 700 Vincentians in Seattle/King County assisted nearly 50, 000 people. Most of this assistance was through the direct, personal encounters of the members, seeking in friendship, to bring whatever assistance could be provided. In 2003, that assistance amounted to $1,210,000. In addition, the Council of Seattle/King County operates a large Food and Clothing Bank that served 43,000 people with $1,528,000 worth of goods and services.
